I am sorry for posting my this thread. I do not have a truck. And CBS circuits are terrible. I just wanted to share what was happening to my amp. If one have any thoughts feel free to talk about it, if it not constructive keep it to one self. Thank you kindly.Richard salazar

Hey I don't understand your comments steve. This particular amp is a 1972 bassmann 100. Here is a bit of information. In 1965 or there abouts in time Leo fender sold fender musical instruments to CBS. CBS had ideas about how the amps should be designed. CBS implented a self adjusting bias. I do not ...

the master volume circuit was put to the fender pre cbs circuit style.\the power tubes were replaced. \the bias is wired to pre cbs specs, the filter caps were replaced and capacitanced brought up, with metal caps. \richard 5623384419
