hammond 1750's ct
Hi all. Finished my first 5e3 kit and it was a blast. Turned out great. It was my first guitar amp. (mostly do hifi). About try a scratch build of the same circuit and was wondering the following. Can I use a 1750f (equivalent) from a blues jr (6950 ct, 15w) in this tweed deluxe? I can get one from ...

The Fender circuit
Hey guys. I been enjoying this forum for the past couple of weeks and wanted to thank you all again. I've been building HiFi amps for a while and finished my first guitar amp build (5e3) and ready to start another. These are a blast. I just read a neat little article on guitar amp theory. Really enj...

Thanks for the replys. This is a good example of ask first. It's good to know that it can be done with care. Thanks for that. However I'm taking M&B's advice to heart. Re: Amp chassis from multiple pieces of sheet metal.
Thanks for the reply. I did build mine in a u shape (Close to the original I guess). What I was thinking is; could I have wired it up just as shown in lthe ayout only on three sheets of metal instead of the U shape. (imagine the U shaped chassis built as prescribed but cut where the bends should be ...

Amp chassis from multiple pieces of sheet metal.
My first 5e3 build is coming along nicely. I built my own sheet aluminum chassis. Drilled it, cut it and bent it. All of the parts fit nice. Looks just like the real thing. But it was a pain and since I'm building a custom cabinet anyway, could I have used separate pieces as long as they were connec...

Speakers for 5E3 build.
Hello everyone. Rob here. Lurker making my first appearance. Into my first build and everything is going swell. 5E3 kit from Triode USA. Looking great. I have available to me a pair of Jensen c10q's and one Jensen pm10c, with a new 8 ohm cone. Great professional recone job. I thought of 2x10 c10q's ...
