I'll let you know how I like the cab when I get the amp from Nik.

I'm all about experimenting too, and it's expensive!

Re: Marshall 4x10 for Express?
Well the price is good and I have heard good things about both the cab and the 35 watt 10 " Celestions. I think it's mid 80s but I'm not sure. I have a 2-12 with Weber ceramic Blue Dogs that sounds great, and I have some G12-65s that I can put in as well. (The webers and 1265s are actually surpising...

Marshall 4x10 for Express?
I'm going to grab a Marshall 1965B 4x10 with 35 watt Celestions and I was wondering what you guys think about using it with a Ceriatone TWreck Express that I have on order? I'll still get a 4x12 eventually, but the portability factor of the 4x10 is definitely appealing. Any idea on how it will sound...

Re: Speakers to go with express clone
If you do get the Avatar I'd really like to know how it compares to a Marshall type cab. I know it's smaller, but if it still sounds good the smaller size would be a plus since I'm my own roadie these days.

Re: Speakers to go with express clone
Thanks for the info guys.
Allynmey, please let us know what you think when you get the Greenbacks.
Does anyone have any experience with the Avatar 4x12? They are a ridiculously low $378 loaded with your choice of several different types of Celestions, including Greenbacks.

Re: Speakers to go with express clone
I have a Ceriatone Express on order and was wondering if the quad of G12-65s I have would be a good match. Any thoughts?

Re: Ceriatone Express tranny question
Thanks for the replies. Nik says his trannies are now similar to the Tonesluts, so I ordered an assembled Express sans tubes. Can't wait to play it! Anybody know of a place to get a plain old plywood and tolex head cab? I'm not much into the oiled hardwood look and the amp will be subjected to typic...

Ceriatone Express tranny question
I'm getting ready to but a Ceriatone Trainwreck Express (assembled) and I need advice about transfomers. Should I get the amp sans trannies and install Tonesluts, or are the new trannies from Ceriatone as good? How much of a job is it to install the trannies? From what I gather the wiring orientatio...
