Hi again rock_mumbles, I've just had my meter on R10 as you suggested and can't get a reading. I checked all the other power resistors while I was at it & they all seem fine. I actually replaced the valves & speaker about three years ago & it's been fine up to now. I did the Fromel upgrade hoping it might cure the problem but it didn't work. On a brighter note, it should sound awesome for the upgrade when I do get it running again.

Thanks rock_mumbles. I'll meter the resistor you mentioned and replace it if that's what's needed. I'll let you know if this is the problem. Once again thanks for taking the time to reply.
