thank you all for the suggestions. I really appriciate you giving advice to a neophite like me. my plan now is to do some reading then go for a marshall type amp since i dont have one of those at my disposal most likely a 18 watter. unless you guys know where I can get a nice ac30 kit.

this is coming from a man who is very ignorant on the inner workings of these amps but here it goes. so it seems to me that the mojo behind these things is in the preamp gain. and when I look at the inside of the dumble chassis it seems like the goop is on the power section. wouldn't he want to hide...

I have heard a lot of your clips and and these to me sound like the highs, the very top of your spectrum, sounds a little fizzy instead of crisp and glassy like ueasual. bass on clip 4 is the best IMHO. I really like the playing homie.

im not on here much but I downloaded this clip and it sounds SICK, really smooth tone and needless to say the playing is top notch.

yea twin just died on me, oops maybe taking those tubes out wasnt such a good idea, can a power tube going out cause an amp to shut off completely, (light not working)? damn
