This is cool, i was looking for something like this. I did see on Gator website they have a bag that is 10x10x18. i was thinking of trying this out.

Well good news on the amp. I changed my pre amp tubes and all that bad high end went away. I couldn't believe that one tube could do this. I just love this amp!

Just ordered 40 feet of mogami cable! this will be one long cable, will be able to walk to the sound board and do my own sound.
Plus a friend just came me a couple old EI 12ax7's and a couple Jan Philips 12ax7wa's. can't wait to give these a spin.

besides mogami cables what are other cables with a high capacitance? does this mean cheaper cables have high capacitance? or this just means using a really long cable to cut highs?

My cab has a mix of V30 and greenbacks. I have been running mine T:3 M:5 B:5 P:2 and bright switch off. I know i could tweak the circuit but i am not touching a thing on this amp. i know the thing to do with this amp is put everything to 12 o'clock and put the bright switch on, but man is this bright. I can't seem to even click the bright switch on for a second before my head is ripped off with treble. Any tricks for taming this down?

I am going to try the 12at7 for V3, it might tame the gain a little? worth trying. I am curious if anyone has tried the preferred 7025's from the tube store. they say the sound like early EI 12ax7.

Hey all, This might already have been discussed but i wanted to get your opinion about the Express filter lay out. I see that not all schematics are the same for this. For example version A has 20+20+20 40+160+160. Version 4 has 20+20+20 40+80+80. Then both Francesca and Kelly have 20+20+20 40+40+40...

Does anyone have any sound clips of a 80 watt express? I know there is a link to a guys myspace way back in this thread but it's hard to tell what's going on in those tunes.
